Starlink Offers One Month of Free Service to Users Affected by Canadian Wildfires

August 2025 — Canada — To aid communities impacted by the wildfires in mid-August 2025, Starlink, SpaceX’s satellite internet division, is extending one month of free service to both existing and new users in affected areas.

  • Existing Active Customers: Service credits for one month are automatically applied—no user action is needed.

  • Cancelled or Paused Customers: These customers will receive a credit equal to their previous service plan, which becomes available once they reactivate their account.
  • New Customers in Affected Areas: If a new customer purchases a Starlink kit in a wildfire zone, they can contact support after their purchase to receive free service through September 15, 2025.
  • Damaged Equipment: Starlink users whose equipment has been damaged by the wildfires can request free replacements by reaching out to support.
