SpaceX’s Falcon 9 Launches 28 Starlink Satellites from Florida

Cape Canaveral, Florida — September 3, 2025 — SpaceX successfully launched 28 Starlink V2 Mini satellites from Florida’s Space Coast early Wednesday morning aboard a Falcon 9 rocket. Liftoff occurred at 7:56 a.m. EDT (1156 UTC) from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Launch Complex 40.

This mission, designated Starlink 10-22, marked SpaceX’s 110th Falcon 9 launch of the year . The first-stage booster, B1083, soared for its 14th flight, reinforcing its reputation as one of the workhorses in SpaceX’s reusable fleet .

Approximately 8.5 minutes after liftoff, the first stage landed flawlessly on the droneship “A Shortfall of Gravitas”, positioned in the Atlantic Ocean . The Starlink satellites were deployed about one hour after launch, joining the growing megaconstellation providing global broadband coverage .

This launch came just hours after SpaceX sent another batch of 24 Starlink satellites from California, bringing the weekend’s deployment total to 52 satellites . The company’s Starlink constellation now boasts more than 8,100 operational satellites in low Earth orbit.
