SpaceX’s Falcon 9 successfully launched 27 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on the night of December 13–14, 2025, expanding the global satellite internet constellation. After deployment, the rocket’s reusable first stage landed on a droneship in the Pacific. The mission contributes to a growing network that provides high-speed broadband to underconnected regions worldwide.

As of December 2025, users in remote or coverage-dead zones can connect with their regular smartphones to access data, voice, video, and popular apps — including WhatsApp, Google Maps, and more. The service dramatically expands Canada’s wireless coverage and enables connectivity in wilderness, coastal, rural and remote areas where cell towers don’t reach.
